Just when you thought Terminator 2D: No Fate dev Bitmap Bureau had peaked, it drops an announcement trailer for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction.
Yes, the name is a mouthful – but my god, the game is looking like a masterpiece. This is true, traditional, Konami-style arcade beat-‘em-up gameplay – complete with outstanding pixel art and fast-paced gameplay.
The title’s being published by Limited Run Games – so expect lots of fancy physical options in the future – with full support from Mattel.
The blurb reveals:
“He-Man, Teela, and Man-At-Arms do battle over 12 sprawling and diverse levels of non-stop action, armed with a host of moves, abilities, and power-ups as they work to stop Skeletor’s ancient ritual that threatens to plunge Eternia into darkness!”
There’s no release date attached to this one just yet, but we’ve never been sold so easily on an announcement as this one. Just look at it!
