Taito and Square Enix revealed the next NieR 15th anniversary prize item headed to Japanese arcades, and this time it will be a small room rug designed to resemble Emil. It is set to show up in the middle of September 2025, though there is no exact date for its debut just yet. There are no listings for it yet at stores that ship worldwide. However, with De Minimis Exemption ending on August 29, 2025 and tariffs, we might not see it in the US.

The Emil head rug isn’t terribly large, as it is only over 19 inches long (50cm). It’s a white circle with the character’s facial features in grey and a black outline along the edges. The product listing didn’t note what it is made of or if it is machine washable.

Here’s how that will look. There is a pair of slippers nearby to offer a sense of scale.

This isn’t the only upcoming Taito NieR 15th anniversary prize item featuring Emil, as there’s the room light too. It’s actually a returning product first sold in honor of NieR Replicant in June 2022. It involves Emil’s head on a pedestal, with a motion sensor that causes it to light up with movement. That first became available again at the beginning of August 2025.

The NieR 15th anniversary Emil rug will show up as a prize in Japanese arcades in the middle of September 2025. There’s no word yet on if or when we could see it worldwide. NieR first appeared on the PS3 and Xbox 360, with the Replicant release showing up on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
