Now that the mythical game of Hollow Knight: Silksong is actually here and real, you might be wondering how to gather some important items you’ll need. Craftmetal is one of the most important items you can find in the world of Pharloom.
Craftmetal overall is very rare and hard to come by, but when you do find it, it’ll be a game changer. You’ll spend it at a forge along with rosaries to get yourself some shiny new toys.
I’ll cover how to get it and where you can pick up a couple of pieces. It’s always a good idea to explore so you can find goodies just like Craftmetal hidden all over.
Craftmetal is hidden throughout the levels of Pharloom. Those most willing to look in every crack and crevice will find themselves rewarded with all manner of hidden collectibles.
In the early game of Silksong, you can find at least two pieces of Craftmetal. One will be found in a shop available for sale in Bone Bottom, while the other is hidden in The Marrow.
Shopping for Craftmetal
Once you’ve beaten the Moss Mother, you’ll have an opportunity to buy some items from the shop in Bone Bottom. You’ll need to collect some rosary beads to be able to afford whatever you want.
You can usually collect these from tougher enemies. Just be careful, because when you die, you’ll lose any unstrung rosary beads until you can recollect them at your cocoon left at the spot of your death.
Pebb the shopkeep will sell you a Craftmetal at the cost of 60 rosaries, which is honestly a really nice deal considering how useful this material ends up being.
Craftmetal In The Marrow
This one is a bit tougher to find than the first. You’ll need to venture into The Marrow and navigate your way to the top-right section (where the Hornet marker is on the map above).
At the very bottom of the section containing the player in the image, you’ll find a wall on the left side. This wall can be blown up and entered by simply hitting it.
Next, you’ll venture into the hole you’ve created and head towards the bottom. There’s a spike pit at the bottom, so be careful not to fall in.
On the far right side of the bottom level, you’ll find another explodable wall. Smack it, and it’ll trigger a few other explosions, so you’ll want to move back quickly.
Now you can just smack the Craftmetal a bit until it drops the item.
To actually use the resource you just found, you’ll need to head to the Deep Docks and find the Forge Daughter. You won’t be able to do this until you’ve beaten the Bell Beast, unlocking fast travel.
Once you’ve done that, you can find her located just past a bench in the area marked by the character icon and the golden shell shop icon. She isn’t too difficult to find, and luckily, by this point, you should have enough rosary beads and Craftmetal to afford at least one item.
The Forge Daughter will sell you tools that can help you deal with all these new pesky enemies you’ll run into. It can be a good idea to acquire at least a few, so you have some options for dishing out damage from afar rather than up close and personal.
