After being in development for more than 9 years, Riot’s latest game, which features characters from League of Legends, is finally here. This game is none other than 2XKO. While the game hasn’t been fully released just yet, after the previous two alpha playtests, the game is now live in closed beta.
The game features 9 characters on launch, with a 10th character yet to be revealed. However, even though the upcoming character is something fans are interested in, what most players are looking forward to presently is getting an invite so that they can finally join in on the fun. So, if you are someone who hasn’t gotten an invite yet, the game has a message for you.
2XKO Invites Are Rolling Out As More Players Join The Closed Beta
In a recent X (formerly Twitter) post, 2XKO explains that the servers are live, but only for PC. Invites are being sent out in a rolling manner, and those who participated in the Alpha Lab will have PC access. If you do get access, keep in mind that there’s no point in grinding: “all progress will be reset when closed beta ends,” according to the developers.
In a previous tweet, they mentioned that the invites “will continue over the next few hours.” But they haven’t mentioned exactly how long the invites will continue to roll out. There is a chance that 2XKO posts another tweet about whether invitations have ended. But going by their official What’s New announcement, they will keep inviting new players “until everyone is included”.
Luckily, players who get the invite will also get a referral link, which will allow them to invite other players. But if your friends also haven’t received an invite, you can check out the game’s Referral Codes Megathread on Reddit and see if there is someone who can invite you.
Do remember that the Closed Beta is for PC players only. Players who have played 2XKO in Alpha playtests 1 or 2 should have direct access. Meanwhile, console players from the playtest can find access to the game via their Riot Client on PC.
Since this is a free-to-play game, it has the potential to get a lot of players into the fighting games genre. But it is also a tag team fighter, so it will be interesting to see just how many new players it can attract while also having them stick around.
