Quick Links

The Lost Merchant is a side quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong where the player must find Jubilana for the second time. Finding her will increase her inventory at Songclave, allowing you to purchase more valuable items.

Due to the enormous size of Silksong’s map, finding Jubilana is not easy. It could take many hours just to get a sense of where she is hiding, which isn’t ideal since her shop is unavailable until you bring her back home to Songclave.

If you’re having trouble finding Jubilana, this guide has you covered on how to locate her. Read further to learn how to complete the Lost Merchant quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

How to Start the Lost Merchant Quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Players can start the Lost Merchant side quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong after they complete the Balm for the Wounded quest. After the Balm for the Wounded quest is completed, the Lost Merchant quest will become available at the Wish Board in Songclave.

If you take a second to look around Songclave, you’ll notice that Jubilana is missing. This is her second time going missing, where the first time she was lost was during the Wandering Merchant quest, and it’s up to you to track her down.

Luckily, Jubilana isn’t too far from Songclave, and it won’t take you very long to find her. She is found in an area called Memorium.

How to Find Jubilana for the Lost Merchant Quest

Players can find Jubilana for the Lost Merchant quest in Memorium, a sub-area of the Citadel. To find Memorium, head west from Songclave’s location and progress to the location shown in the image below.

It’s here that you will find the area covered in grass and an opening in the ceiling. Jump up through the ceiling by using your double jump ability to enter Memorium. If you haven’t got the double jump ability, better known as the Faydown Cloak, then feel free to check out our guide on how to acquire it.

Once you enter Memorium, you’re going to want to go through the rooms that lead east. Keep on the lookout for items of Jubilana that can be found on the ground in this area, as interacting with them will create a scent trail that leads to her location.

As you continue making your way east, you’ll eventually encounter the room with the contraption that has the map of the citadel. Feel free to spend 70 Rosaries to acquire the map here, but to find Jubilana, jump into the opening in the ceiling to reach a secret area.

Next, make your way east to reach the outside and jump down to the platform below. You should be at the location shown in the image below, which represents Jubilana’s location in Memorium.

As you approach Jubilana, a wave of bird enemies will attack you. After defeating all the birds here, speak to Jubilana and exhaust her dialogue to complete the Lost Merchant quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

The Lost Merchant Quest Rewards

The reward for completing the Lost Merchant quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong is an expanded inventory at Jubilana’s shop in Songclave.

The following items are added to Jubilana’s inventory after completing the Lost Merchant quest:

  • Spider Strings (Support Tool): Resonates with music played to amplify and enhance a performance. Expands and strengthens the effects of the Needolin. (350 Rosaries).
  • Craftmetal: Can be traded to various merchants in exchange for goods. (180 Rosaries).
  • Spool Fragment: Increases the size of the Silk Meter. (500 Rosaries).
  • Choral Commandment: A relic of Pharlom’s past, interesting to collectors of historical items. (210 Rosaries).

Out of all of these options, I recommend spending your hard-earned Rosaries on a Spool Fragment first and foremost. Keep in mind, however, that you need two Spool Fragments to successfully increase the Silk Meter.
