Today is a big day for Hideo Kojima fans. In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Kojima Productions, the studio held a live event, “Beyond The Strand”, which brought us tons of information about the future plans of the studio.
Among the many updates, the most notable one has to be the reveal trailer of OD, an upcoming horror game that picks up where the cancelled PT left off. Kojima has partnered with Xbox Game Studios for it, and the game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5.
While that is big news, what’s more is that they also revealed the poster art for Physint. Even though the game is years away from release, the fans have some theories pointing to who the poster suggests will be starring.
Fans Theorize Physint Stars Robert Pattinson Or Eddie Redmayne
In a recent X (formerly Twitter) post from Kojima Productions, they revealed the poster art and several cast members for Physint.
The three confirmed stars include Minami Hamabe, who played Sakura Yamauchi in Let Me Eat Your Pancreas, Don Lee (aka Ma Dong-seok), who played Ma Seok-do in The Roundup, and Charlee Fraser, who played Mary Jabassa in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
However, the star that we don’t know is the one featured on the game’s poster art. This is where the fan theories come in, where several fans believe that the poster has Robert Pattinson on it. This theory holds some weight because Hideo Kojima met Batman, not once but twice, last year.
But just two meetings could be a coincidence. As such, other fans suggest Eddie Redmayne could also be on the poster due to how similar the character’s face looks to the star.
Hideo Kojima has confirmed he is partnering with PlayStation Studios for this game. The title is still being worked on, but many fans believe it to be a spiritual successor to the Metal Gear Solid series.
While we do not know when these games will be released, it seems Konami needs to get ready for some serious competition. The good news for Konami fans is that they currently have a lead with the positive reception of Silent Hill f, and letting players decide which Metal Gear remake they want next. It will be interesting to see their plans as Kojima’s games get closer to release.
