How To Get All Fortnite KPop Demon Hunters Skins And Free Rewards

The KPop Demon Hunters Fortnite takeover is underway, and it’s pretty thorough! This blockbuster collab brings back the old Horde Rush mode with a KPop Demon Hunters flavor, adds four new items to the Battle Royale and Blitz loot pools, and–of course–all three members of HUNTR/X are available in the item shop. That’s a lot for a collab that Epic kept completely under wraps until less than a week ago, and given the surge in popularity for the Netflix movie, it’s possible it all came together quickly.

The item shop cosmetics include skins for Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, along with a pickaxe and a ramyeon back bling for each–and the set is rounded out by the Zoey’s Thumbs Up emote. The skins cost 1,500 V-Bucks each, and a bundle with everything will run you 3,500, saving you a lot if you plan to get everything anyway.

As you might expect from a collab like this, though, there are also some free KPop Demon Hunters cosmetics that you can earn for free by playing Fortnite. There are two sets of free KPop Demon Hunters items–ones you earn by gaining levels in any mode, and ones you earn by completing quests that are specific to the Demon Rush limited-time mode.

How to unlock free KPop Demon Hunters cosmetics in Fortnite

There are two cosmetics that you can get for free simply by gaining account levels during the next seven days. Gain four levels to unlock the Special Ramyeon emoticon, and eight levels to unlock the HUNTR/X Unite loading screen. You’ll make faster progress toward these items by completing some of the many available KPop Demon Hunters quests that are available, most of which involve using their new loot items.

You can unlock this loading screen by gaining eight levels in Fortnite before October 9.

There are four new KPop Demon Hunters gameplay items you can loot. There’s Rumi’s Sword, which has a ranged attack to go with its more typical sword moves; Zoey’s Bubble Shield, which is just like the normal bubble shield but it plays HUNTR/X music while you’re in it; Mira’s X-Tra Spicy Ramyeon, which gives you health and shields and makes you run faster than usual; and Tiger’s Teleporting Mask, which is a reskinned version of the existing Void Mask traversal item. This allows you to instantly teleport to a portal that you can place anywhere. Each of these items has related quests for 10k XP each.

There are even more free rewards to unlock, though they require you to play the new Demon Rush mode. Demon Rush is a new variation of Horde Rush, which Fortnite brings back every October. In it, you and three teammates battle waves of monsters and epic bosses alongside Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. You’ll be able to make use of each of the previously mentioned items to help you survive, and completing these quests will unlock several other KPop Demon Hunters items. Completing four quests will unlock a banner icon, eight quests will unlock the Playful Derpy emoticon, and 12 quests will earn you the HUNTR/X spray.

KPop Demon Hunters Demon Rush quests

So far, only a handful of Demon Rush quests are currently available, so it’s not possible to unlock all of these items right now–you’ll need to wait for additional batches of quests, the first of which will arrive next Wednesday, October 8. The quests are not complicated, and you’ll complete most of them by accident while simply playing the mode.

Along with the five currently available standard quests, there’s a five-stage quest to defeat the final Peely boss on successively higher difficulty levels. You can increase the difficulty using the Cursed Tiger Statue that you’ll find at each boss encounter area–doing so is itself a quest, even.

The other Week 1 Demon Rush quests include: damaging demon spawners with explosives or junk rifts; choosing upgrade perks while in a match 20 times; earning a 50x streak; and upgrading weapons 15 times. These quests will stick around for the entire time Demon Rush is available. As you might expect, it leaves on November 1, which will likely be the end of Fortnitemares 2025, too.
