Not Sure What Loadout To Bring To The Black Ops 7 Beta? Try Some Of These, Straight From The Devs

If you’ve ever played a game and found yourself wondering how the developers would play a specific sequence or how they would set their build, now’s your chance – for a Call of Duty title, at least.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s multiplayer beta is already live (it began earlier today, October 2), and the game’s own directors just shared their personal loadouts to help out any player in need of a bit of inspiration for the warzone.

And, well, they literally created the game and its weapons, so they probably know a secret or two! Even if it’s out of pure curiosity, it is definitely worth taking a look.

Devs Behind Black Ops 7 Reveal The Loadouts They Trust In Battle

Matt Scronce is the design director for Black Ops 7, and it looks like he really enjoys a flank tactic to surprise other players.

He uses a Peacekeeper MK1 as his primary weapon (a man of good taste, indeed), alongside a CODA 9 as secondary and a bunch of pinpoint and cluster grenades. His favorite perks are Ninja, Assassin, and Dexterity, and his field upgrade couldn’t be anything different from the Active Camo, right?

As for the associate design director, Lawrence Metten (I bet he has played a lot against Scronce), he’s always going for M8A1 as a primary and Echo 12 as a secondary, with psyche and semtex grenades (I also love using the latter). For perks, Metten enjoys Ninja, Hunter’s Instinct, and Dexterity, with Echo Unit as a field upgrade on the side.

Last but not least, Miles Leslie, the associate creative director for Black Ops 7, uses an MXR-17 as his main weapon and an A.R.C. M1 as a secondary. To compensate for the slow mobility that the primary gun gives, he goes for the powerful Trophy System as a field upgrade, and Scavenger, Looper, and Bankroll for perks.

I must confess that Mr. Leslie’s build is not much to my taste due to the lack of faster mobility, which means that I would immediately invite Scronce for a spot in your team. You can check their full build in the GameSpot article.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s full release is slated for November 14 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
