Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds: All Hatsune Miku Festival Rewards

In Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, we’ve been guaranteed a free SEGA character every month or so, with October’s being Hatsune Miku, a character that isn’t technically owned by SEGA, but we’ll let it slide.

She has already got way better treatment than every other DLC character so far, with multiple songs in the base game, voice lines, some lovely hand-drawn emotes, and a whole new outfit to sport with her Extreme Gear, on top of being the only Boost type character.

She’s at the center of the first Festival, something that will happen every time a new free DLC character gets released. These festivals have a ton of rewards, both specific to the character, and some that are generally great.

The Hatsune Miku festival runs from 10/02/2025 at 7:00 PM CST to 10/05/2025 at 6:59 PM CST, so you have almost the entire weekend to complete it. However, once the week is over, there is no guarantee that any of these rewards will be available again.

How To Participate

To participate in the Hatsune Miku festival at all, you’ll need to play online and pick the Festival mode, which completely locks you out of the normal online mode. Close enough, welcome back, Splatfests.

On the top right, you’ll see which Festival Mode is currently active. This includes Tap Boost, where you need to bump into your teammates for points, and Air Trick and Ring Grab, which are pretty self-explanatory.

You are trying to get the most points out of all three teams of four, which means you can win by simply getting top spots, but if you achieve the extra goal from the Festival Mode, you get an extra ten points that can handily decide the outcome.

This means you should absolutely find three other people who are good at the game to significantly increase your odds of winning, but if you can’t, then deal with the random players you’re given online and hope they cooperate.

No matter what placement you get, you will get a few points towards your overall Festival score, which grants you rewards for each milestone you pass. You get way more for first, though, so if you want this to go fast, you need to do well.

Teams are all randomly assigned each match, but you will always be placed on the same team as your squad members. That said, your rewards for participating here are the main attraction, so it’s high time we dive into that.

Festival Rewards

Each reward is granted after you get a certain number of Festival points, and in between each new reward are some Donpa tickets, which makes this one of the easiest ways to get a ton of tickets and purchase whatever you like.

The rewards are as follows:

  • 20 Points: Decal – Hatsune Miku (Sonic Racing 1)
  • 40 Points: 20 Donpa Tickets
  • 60 Points: 20 Donpa Tickets
  • 80 Points: Decal – Hatsune Miku (Sonic Racing 2)
  • 100 Points: 20 Donpa Tickets
  • 120 Points: 20 Donpa Tickets
  • 140 Points: Gadget – Boost Character Kit
  • 170 Points: 20 Donpa Tickets
  • 200 Points: 20 Donpa Tickets
  • 250 Points: Decal – Megurine Luka
  • 300 Points: 30 Donpa Tickets
  • 350 Points: Decal – Kagamine Rin & Len
  • 400 Points: 30 Donpa Tickets
  • 450 Points: Horn – Equalizer Wave
  • 500 Points: 30 Donpa Tickets
  • 600 Points: Decal – Hatsune Miku (Chat Stamp)
  • 700 Points: 50 Donpa Tickets
  • 800 Points: Decal – Hatsune Miku
  • 900 Points: 50 Donpa Tickets
  • 1000 Points: Title – Virtual Singer

After this point, you will get 60 Donpa Tickets for each 100 Point milestone you reach, and you can rest easy knowing that you have plundered every bit of exclusive content from this festival.

One extra thing to be noted, if you get a win streak going of consistently placing first place in the Festival, you can get the Title of “A Voice That Captures Your Heart” with an icon of Miku beside it.

Just for participating, you get the Title of “Hatsune Miku Festival”, and for the top 1000, top 100, and top 10, you can get incredibly exclusive titles that reflect your strong placement, but only if you have the time to grind that out.

Loadouts

For each game mode, I have devised a loadout to help maximize your efficiency, and hopefully curb the skill issues of whoever you’re playing with. I recommend making Gadget Plates for each of these, and swapping when the time is right.

For Tap Boost, I recommend running a Power vehicle with an Acceleration or Handling character, alongside the Collision Boost and Power Kit gadgets for maximum speed whenever you bump into anyone.

For Ring Grab, you can put on any of the Ring Gain gadgets you want, but I recommend Dash Panel Mini Bounty, Ring Thief, Starting Boost Bounty, and Air Trick Bounty with Air Trick Expert to make that more effective.

For Air Tricks, I recommend Air Trick Expert, Air Trick Adept, and a Boost-type vehicle to get the most out of those air tricks. Your other three gadget slots are up to you, but for the sake of consistency, I recommend Air Trick Bounty.
