The adorable Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant is on sale for its lowest price ever at Amazon and Walmart. Normally $60, the 540-piece display model is up for grabs for only $35. Amazon’s deal is available for everyone–though it certainly could sell out–but you need a Walmart+ membership to get the deal from Walmart. It’s one of the marquee Lego deals in Walmart’s new sale that’s running alongside Prime Big Deal Days.
If Walmart doesn’t sell out of the deal before October 6 at 9 PM PT, then it will be available to purchase for all shoppers. But as mentioned, you can grab the deal from Amazon without a membership of any kind.
The Piranha Plant has remained a consistent bestseller among Super Mario Lego sets at major retailers since its 2023 release, so this deal is unlikely to remain in stock for the duration of Walmart Deals and Prime Big Deal Days.
$35 (was $60)
Based on one of Mario’s best-known enemies, the 540-piece Piranha Plant Lego building set has multiple posable elements, including an opening/closing mouth, a bendable vine, and two leaves that can be angled in different directions. The set also comes with two (fake) coins that can be hidden inside the Piranha Plant’s mouth.
Just like in the video games, the Piranha Plant Lego set has a buildable green warp pipe as its base. This is essentially an artificial potted plant for Nintendo fans.
The completed build is 9 x 4.5 x 6.5 inches. It’s worth mentioning that the Piranha Plant is one of three Lego Mario display models that does not interact with the Mario, Luigi, and Peach figures from the Lego Super Mario starter sets. It was recently joined by the Mario Kart display model and replica Game Boy.
The Piranha Plant is one of eight Lego Nintendo models geared toward adults. You can also save on two of the other sets in the lineup. Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi, a pixel art model based on the classic Super Nintendo platformer, is on sale for $104 (was $130) at Amazon and Walmart.
The other deal is a $20 discount on The Mighty Bowser. While a $20 discount may not sound like much since the 2,807-piece King Koopa building set will still cost you $250, Lego is retiring The Mighty Bowser before the end of the year. And based on the high reseller prices of the other two retired sets–Lego NES and Super Mario 64 Question Block–$250 for the largest Lego Super Mario set will probably sound quite good before long.
