Being a vampire in Seattle is not always about feeding on the innocent, collecting crosses, and taking down hunters. Sometimes, in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, you must be stealthy and discreet.
During one such stealth-based mission, you are required to break into the police station to collect Benny’s blackmail book. At this time, you must completely avoid the police or risk breaking the Masquerade.
Breaking into the police station can be a bit tricky. With cops everywhere, you will want to know how to break into the police station in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2.
Avoiding The Police In The Station
After the unfortunate ending to Willem’s story in Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, you are tasked with collecting Benny’s blackmail book as a means of keeping information.
Unfortunately, it is also stored away in his old office at the police station, guarded by numerous police officers that aren’t already roaming the Seattle streets.
Once you enter the police station, Fabien will remind you that you are not to be seen. If a cop spots you, they will quickly swarm, and the quest will end rather abruptly, making you restart.
Reaching Benny’s Office
Begin this stealth sequence by entering the police station. Next to the front desk is the door that leads directly to the community room of the station. This is where you must avoid the police and reach Benny’s office.
Immediately after entering, crouch to help you avoid detection, and head to the left. Make your way behind the whiteboard to avoid the police in the area. You will need to wait behind some of the desks here while a cop turns around and walks away.
Once the cop is gone, slowly make your way across the center of the room to the door of Benny’s office. It will be locked, forcing you to find a new way around.
Getting To Fabien’s Office
From Benny’s office door, go to the right to where the cop walked off to, and go down the stairs. You will need to make your way to Fabien’s office. At the bottom of the stairs, you will see a hallway with Fabien’s office door at the end, just past the entrance to the interrogation room.
You can use a vent underneath the stairs to more easily avoid detection from the police in this area. I chose not to as part of my run, but it can be useful if you are having trouble with this section.
While the cops are having a chat, you can enter the holding and processing room next to the entrance to the hallway. You can then take an immediate left to enter the interrogation room.
When you reach Fabien’s office, you will realize that you need the key to enter it.
Getting The Key
From Fabien’s office, hide behind the lockers and wait for the office to leave the hallway leading to the evidence room. Crouch under the window to avoid detection from the cop in the hallway office and open the door to the evidence room.
You can use abilities like Blink to help you move through the police station at a faster rate. I used Blink to avoid detection from the police officer in the downstairs hallway.
Once you get inside the evidence room, look around for the keys to Fabien’s office. They should be in the back right corner of the room. Once you have them, reverse direction and make your way back to Fabien’s office, using the lockers to avoid detection from the cop who walks through the hallway.
Accessing Benny’s Office
Now that you have the key, enter Fabien’s office, and use the air vent in the corner to make your way through the police station to Benny’s office. Once inside, you will find the blackmail book on the desk with a knife in it.
Grab the book, and prepare for the most difficult part of the mission: a leisurely stroll to the exit. Once you have the book, you will be able to simply walk out of the police station without worry, as the police won’t care about who is leaving, only who enters.
