After two back-to-back festivals in Sonic Racing Crossworlds, they took a much-needed week-long break after the Minecraft Steve festival, but we’re getting right back into it for the final festival of October, featuring Joker from Persona 5.
Because he’s a SEGA character, Joker is completely free DLC you get whenever you update your game, and the festival, as always, is free to participate in. It’s running from October 23, 2025, at 7:00 PM CST to October 26, 2025, at 6:59 PM CST, so you have a whole weekend.
Like usual, this festival is well worth participating in for a ton of unique cosmetic rewards, as well as one of the best sources of Donpa Tickets in the entire game. You do need to stay online for it, but I think it’s worth attempting to maximize your time here.
I’ll be going over how to participate, what modes are in circulation this time, all the rewards you can get from the event, and show off a few custom builds I found worked best for each mode. Grab a few confidants, because we’re going to steal some hearts.
How To Participate
Like with the last few, I’ll be giving you a basic rundown of how festivals go, in case you didn’t know. To participate, first, get into the Online mode, then select the festival option from the menu, preferably with a few friends in your squad.
All the modes in festivals are team-based, and you get extra points for each person in your squad. In my experience, each person you get on your team makes things exponentially easier, given they’re good at the game, of course.
The points you earn unlock more rewards from what is essentially a Battle Pass, with a bunch of tickets on offer, alongside unique decals, a horn, a nametag, and a character-type boosting gear, which is Handling for this event, because Joker is a handling type.
The modes you play will cycle out every half hour, with Tap Boost taking over on the hour, and either Ring Grab or Dash Panel taking over at the thirty-minute mark. Tap boost just has you bumping into your teammates for points, and the other two are somewhat self-explanatory.
Every time the mode changes, and the game tells you that a Rental Plate is available, it will always automatically swap you to that plate. The thing is, these plates aren’t very good, so I recommend making a conscious effort to switch off of them, onto a custom one.
The ten-point bonus you get for tapping your teammates, getting the most rings, or hitting the most boost panels is a big deciding factor in the majority of matches. You can win off of good placement alone, but be sure to keep the goal in mind and place well for surefire wins.
Festival Rewards
Every time you finish a match, you get points, and you can get around a maximum of 70 per race. Each milestone in points earned gets you a different reward, with the ticket gain this time around being even better than it was previously.
Here are all the Joker Festival rewards:
- 20 Points: Decal – Joker
- 40 Points: 50 Donpa Tickets
- 60 Points: 50 Donpa Tickets
- 80 Points: Decal – Mask
- 100 Points: 50 Donpa Tickets
- 120 Points: 50 Donpa Tickets
- 140 Points: Gadget – Handling Character Kit
- 170 Points: 50 Donpa Tickets
- 200 Points: 50 Donpa Tickets
- 250 Points: Decal – Mona
- 300 Points: 50 Donpa Tickets
- 350 Points: Decal – Velvet Room
- 400 Points: 50 Donpa Tickets
- 450 Points: Horn – Persona!
- 500 Points: 100 Donpa Tickets
- 600 Points: Decal – Violet
- 700 Points: 100 Donpa Tickets
- 800 Points: Decal – The Phantoms
- 900 Points: 100 Donpa Tickets
- 1000 Points: Title – TAKE YOuR hEaRT
After that, every 100 points will earn you 100 tickets, which means you get a solid amount of tickets for doing well. On top of that, getting a win streak of at least two will earn you the title of “The Phantoms”, with a Morgana background.
If you manage to get around 70 points each round — which, to be clear, you will not — then you’re looking at an average of over 60 tickets for every race, which, if you know anything about grinding tickets, is a wild amount.
If you participate in the festival at all, you get the “Joker Festival” title, with a Morgana-themed background instead of the cool one. If you get to the top 1000, top 100, or top 10, you get a unique title to reflect that, on the much cooler Joker background.
Loadouts
For the different game modes, I’d highly recommend getting a custom loadout, or at least trying one. The Rental Plates are never great, and while you can get by with your standard loadout for Tap Boost and Dash Panels, you might like a focused one better.
For Tap Boost, anything with a Collision Boost gear is fine. I’d say up your acceleration and boost stats on top of that, but ultimately Collision Boost will work really well. I also tried a standard loadout here, and figured it was better than super gimmicky loadouts, especially with a speed-focused combo.
For Ring Grab, almost anything in the Ring Bounty category will do wonders, but I’m partial to Start Boost Bounty and Air Trick Bounty, combined with Air Trick Adept and Air Trick Expert. It gives you a clean 30 rings at the start, and tons if you’re ever in the air.
For Dash Panel, I found this on the easiest to not bother with any loadout changes for, but I did also enjoy the Dash Panel Combo gadget paired with a Ring Boost Mini. Nothing will increase the number more than skill can, but Dash Frenzy is common during this mode, so exploit that.
