ARC Raiders is not an experience for the faint of heart. This extraction shooter doesn’t play any games when it comes to loot, and neither should you.
Figuring out the best spots to hit on any run is a crucial part of the game loop. Whether it’s Dam Battlegrounds or Buried City, knowing what you want to hit first will always take priority over simply looting whatever you can.
This list will cover the 10 best spots to hit in Buried City with some reasoning on their rankings. Things like danger level, loot level, and amount of cover will be included, which will help to explain their spot on the list.
ARC Raiders: 10 Best Items You Should Always Scavenge
Fill your pockets, but don’t load up on useless junk!
10 Piazza Arbusto
This named location is one of the overall better places to hit early on in a raid. It isn’t exactly sporting the most ridiculous loot you’ll ever find, but it does have some very interesting things hidden around it.
One of these is the pharmacy that sits in the large green building. While it can still be dangerous since you have to breach to get inside the building, there aren’t any other entrances, so once you’re inside, you can loot with relative safety.
9 Santa Maria Houses
There are a ton of rooms in this location to search, which is awesome if you manage to get there first. If you aren’t first, you could consider getting up on the roof to get a better angle at anything happening outside.
This one gets to be a smidge higher, since in the open area just to the south, powerful ARC usually spawn. This can be a great place to find Raiders who loot defeated ARC or defeat the powerful ARC yourself.
8 Parking Garage
This might be a surprise to see up on the list at all, since most of the looting comes from breaching cars. What’s really cool about the Parking Garage is that, on top of having a ton of mechanical loot, it’s well protected from almost every side.
In the basement is a Raider Camp that can have weapons crates as well. More importantly, there’s almost always loot here because hardly anyone wants to breach into many of the cars.
There’s a chance for a powerful ARC to spawn on the top level of the Parking Garage. If you’re looking for specific parts, it’s worth checking out at least.
7 Town Hall
Now, before everyone gets their pitchforks and torches out, there’s a reason this one is the lowest of the high-level locations. If you don’t have the Town Hall Key, you can’t get to a majority of the actual good loot and just end up stuck in smaller rooms.
There’s usually a lot of action going on outside at Marano Park, which just makes Town Hall more dangerous. If you’re feeling up to the danger even without a key, you’re welcome to give it a go, but other spots are less dangerous with similar loot.
6 Library
Library is a really weird location. There are a lot of containers to loot, but it feels like ARC seem to pop out of nowhere, and with so much of the roof missing, they can spot you when they fly over.
Most of what you’ll end up finding here is just sellable loot, too. If you’re looking to get some serious cash, this can be a good spot to hit; otherwise, it’s much better as a pass-through spot.
5 Plaza Rosa
Much like Piazza Arbusto, this location also sports a pharmacy for you to loot after breaching. This one is a bit higher on the list because, for the most part, you can loot this location and then jump down the hole in the middle to head home.
Most everything is contained inside the buildings, so it’s a relatively safe area from both ARC and other Raiders. Looting this location will usually give you more than enough items for you to head home with, if you decide to go home or get a bit greedier.
4 Grandioso Apartments
Residential areas are always a good place to hit when you can. They can provide many items, from sellable items to keys that you may need to open locked doors. These apartments are no exception, and with how many levels there are, you can always find some loot here.
There also happens to be a locked door at the bottom of the taller building, which, if you can find the needed key, you can collect all the best loot. Even without the key, you’ll be sure to find something here at the very least.
3 Research
The Research building can be a great spot to find some top-notch loot. There are a lot of containers and loot just sitting about, and since it’s almost entirely inside, aside from the roof, you can rest assured you’ll be mostly safe.
You’ll need to be on the lookout for any Pops or Fireballs that are still roaming around. With all of the corridors, you can choose between engaging with other Raiders or simply finding a place to hide to get away quickly.

2 Space Travel
Space Travel is another high-level loot area that’s usually scavenged pretty early on in many raids. Even with that, there’s so much loot that it would be impossible for someone to take it all. Don’t fret if it looks like others have been there first, since there’s probably plenty of loot left in containers.
It can be pretty dangerous since this one seems almost overrun with smaller ARC enemies, but much like the Research building, it’s all inside, so it’s safer than outside. You can quickly get outside and make your way to the nearby station to head back to Speranza, should the situation call for it.
1 Hospital
The absolute best location to hit in all of Buried City is the Hospital. While it is the most dangerous by far when powerful ARC spawn around it, it still contains the most loot by far and often has a Field Depot spawn which can provide some much-needed ammo among other things.
Everything here is usually of rare quality or better, and there’s always loot leftover from other Raiders. More than that, it is close to a Raider Hatch and a regular exit. While incredibly dangerous, you have plenty of options to get out should you need them. The locked room here is particularly nice if you can secure a key.
You can also zipline up to the top of the Hospital to find a weapons crate and a few other containers in a small spot in the center of the roof.
