That drink sounds like a chemistry experiment.

People who work in restaurants deal with a lot. Customers can be rude, tips are often small, and some requests are just plain weird. But every once in a while, someone orders something so confusing that the whole restaurant has to see it to believe it.

According to Bro Bible, a server named Kalina shared one of these moments on TikTok. She walked through a drink order that nobody could figure out. Her video got more than 3.1 million views and got people talking about weird drink orders.

Kalina explained what happened that day. “Today at work, I ordered a drink exactly the way it was ordered from me, and I had everyone in the restaurant taking pictures,” she said. It all started when a woman asked her to check what fresh fruit the kitchen had.

The customer kept changing what she wanted

Kalina came back and told her they had lots of berries. The woman said she wanted a strawberry lemonade. She also kept calling it a “baby lemonade” and said the bartender would understand what that was.

But then things got messy. The woman wanted pink lemonade with only a little ice. She didn’t want any sweetener in it. She also said no citrus because it would give her hives. Kalina explained to people watching that their lemonade is just lemon juice, simple syrup, and water. So she asked the woman to confirm. The customer said yes, she wanted lemonade with no sweetener and no lemon, just strawberries. Then she told Kalina to add Sprite on top.

Kalina put the order in as lemonade with no lemon, no sugar, and strawberries. The bartender saw it and had no idea what it meant. Kalina explained again, so they crushed up some strawberries and poured Sprite over them. When Kalina brought it over, the woman took one look and said she didn’t think they used fresh strawberries. Kalina told her she watched them make it with fresh fruit. The woman still wasn’t happy with it.

Later, the woman held up the glass and said she didn’t like the drink. Kalina didn’t know what to say because the order made no sense from the start. The woman asked for the same thing again. A lemonade with no citrus, no sugar, and strawberries. She brought up the “baby lemonade” one more time. Then she said if the bartender couldn’t make it, she would just take crushed strawberries with soda water.

That finally made sense. Kalina told the bartender to fill the glass with strawberries and add soda water. The woman drank it and said she loved it. This isn’t the only time service workers have dealt with frustrating customer behavior that bartenders have called out.

People in the comments had a lot to say. Someone named Alda6 wrote “No citrus or sweetener, but top it off with Sprite, which contains citrus and sweetener.” Another person named Megan said “People are fucking weird.”

The ProKristanator mentioned another odd request and wrote “on the rocks. No ice.” Someone named Laura commented “Normalize saying no.” Weird orders and strange requests happen all the time in restaurants. While TikTokers share all kinds of wild stories, this drink order is definitely one of the most confusing.
