The sequel to Control has finally been revealed to the world at The Game Awards, along with a rough release date: 2026, for Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
The sequel is making some big changes. For a start, you’re not playing as Jesse Faden any more. Instead, you’ll be controlling her brother Dylan who is a melee focused character wielding an object capable of transforming into multiple weapons, including a big-ass hammer. Known as Aberrant, the weapon will combo with Dylan’s own supernatural powers. The trailer shows Dylan busting out some pretty cool moves, almost going full Devil May Cry on some Hiss butts.
Speaking of which, The Hiss have broken loose and are on a rampage, meaning we get to venture outside The Oldest House.
Control is one of my favourite games, possibly of all time, and the sequel looks spectacular. I can’t wait to see where the story goes, to meet Dylan and figure out what’s happening with Jesse.
