The studio CubeGame recently announced Sword and Fairy 4 Remake. This Chinese single-player RPG, originally released in 2007 on PC, will be getting a second lease on life on consoles and PC.

Following the presentation of the project, an internet user asked the developers if the game was also planned for Xbox. In response on X, CubeGame explained that it had joined the ID@Xbox program in early 2025 for two other titles. These were approved separately in May and July. Sadly, about six months later, Microsoft still hadn’t sent the Xbox development kits to the studio.

As a result, CubeGame said it had decided to no longer offer its games to Xbox, as the brand was unable to provide the development kits. At this time, we do not know if this issue applies to other studios.
