When it got announced in June during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, MUDANG: Two Hearts was presented as a very promising third-person action-adventure game. Developed by EVR Studio using Unreal Engine 5, the title even seemed to be slightly inspired by Splinter Cell.
Unfortunately, the future of the project is now very uncertain. Several reports state that there has been a wave of layoffs at the South Korean studio. Back in July, it had more than 100 employees, compared to just 22 today. The studio’s official website has been down for several months, and the developers haven’t posted a single video on YouTube since August.
There are even rumors of MUDANG: Two Hearts being canceled and EVR Studio possibly closing down, all due to funding issues.
The game was scheduled for release on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC this year.
