Announced over a year ago at The Game Awards 2024, the sequel to Okami will unfortunately not be coming out for a long time. Development will take a very long time!
In his message for 2026, Kento Koyama, president of CLOVERS, gave a quick update on the project’s progress. Okami 2 will likely not be released for several years.
“We are hard at work on the Okami sequel. Although the release is still a ways off, we cannot wait to get the finished game into your hands. We will continue to work tirelessly this year to deliver an experience that surpasses the expectations of players all over the world.”
CLOVERS was founded two years ago, and Okami 2 is being directed by Hideki Kamiya.
