It all hinges on the website for Amazon’s Fallout TV show.
Two sources have corroborated that a Fallout 3 remake or remaster is on the way.
Nate The Hate responded to a rumor about a countdown on the Fallout Amazon show’s website:
Fallout 3 Remaster is a planned release, yes.
I’m not certain of a reveal window for it, however.
A day later, Windows Central editor Jez Corden said this:
Some have been wondering if a mysterious countdown on the Fallout TV show’s Amazon Prime website is hinting at a shadow drop for a new Fallout game or remaster. I’m told this is not the case.
However, we are eventually getting a Fallout 3 remake in the vein of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, as well as Fallout New Vegas on top.
The First Fallout Game After The Amazon Show
Remake or remaster, that new version of Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas will be the first game to capitalize on the Amazon show’s success.
As of this writing, the countdown has 27 days to go, so we’ll find out what this is come February.
