Poop in Hytale might seem like a joke item, but it’s actually surprisingly useful.
You’ll mainly want to get Poop to make fertilizer, which can massively speed up the growth speed of your crops. So, any farmer will want to have some poop around! Alternatively, you can fling it at other players for fun.
In this quick guide, we’ll tell you what you need to do to get as much Poop as you want.
How to Get Poop From Animals
To be able to get Poop in Hytale, you’ll first need to craft and place a Farmer’s Workbench. You can make it at a standard Workbench by using the following resources:
- Any Tree Trunk x6 – Obtained by cutting down any type of tree.
- Plant Fiber x20 – Primarily obtained from cutting tall grass found in the wild.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll want to use the Farmer’s Workbench to make the Wooden Bucket and Crude Shears. You’ll need these items to make them:
- Any Wood – You get this from just chopping down any trees.
- Iron Ingots – Obtained from smelting Iron Ore at a Furnace. Check out our ore locations guide for help finding Iron!
With your new tools in hand, you’ll need to find specific types of animals out in the wild!
The first type of animals are the Chicken and Sheep. You can use your Crude Shears on them to obtain Feathers and Wool Scraps, respectively. More importantly, though, they also have a chance to drop Poop once you use the shears!
Now, while taming is not yet implemented in the game, keep in mind that you can capture small animals. That includes Chicken and Sheep.
So, use a Capture Crate to bring them to your base if you want a replenishing source of Poop… I never thought I’d say that phrase in my life, but here we are!
Anyway, the second type of animals are Cows and Mosshorns. Approach them with an empty Wooden Bucket to milk them. As before, they may randomly drop Poop when you milk them. Thankfully, they do not put it in your bucket.
So, there you have it! That’s how to get Poop in Hytale! This is, as far as I know, the only way to get it in the current version of the game.
