Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem is officially out later this month. As the game ramps up its advertising, it’s enlisting Longlegs and It Follows’ Maika Monroe in a new trailer.
The short trailer, titled Evil Has Always Had A Name, features a mother and daughter living in Raccoon City before the city collapses into the nightmare introduced in the video games years ago.
It is a brief look at their life as the pair play together and enjoy each day. Then we see how catastrophic things turn out as they head into the city amid chaos and encounter zombies for the first time. We see the duo do their best to fight and survive.
The upcoming Resident Evil game centers on protagonist Grace Ashcroft, an FBI Intelligence analyst who is “introverted and easily scared,” marking a new type of character for the series. Players will experience horror from Grace’s perspective as they work to overcome her fear. She’s timid, but she has firearm training and a clear understanding of how to stay calm.
Last month, it was confirmed that Leon S. Kennedy would return to Raccoon City in Resident Evil Requiem.
Resident Evil Requiem is out on February 27, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC.
