It’s been an eventful week for Assassin’s Creed. Ubisoft has appointed a new trio to lead the franchise, and the game known as Codename Hexe has lost its director.
It is precisely this episode, set in the Holy Roman Empire of 16th-century Central Europe, that insider Tom Henderson mentioned in a recent podcast. He specified that it is being developed by most of the Ubisoft Montreal teams with the release scheduled for late 2027.
In terms of content, the developers have reportedly completely overhauled the combat system with a particular focus on acrobatic movements. Ubisoft has apparently hired a contortionist for the motion capture sessions. In addition, Ezio could make an appearance in Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe to guide the game’s hero on the path of the assassins.
