In honor of Mario (Mar10) Day, Nintendo shared new trailers for both the Switch 2 version of Super Mario Bros Wonder and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The latter appeared first during a dedicated Nintendo Direct the evening before, while the latter showed up today. The game debuts on March 26, 2026, and the movie is out on April 1, 2026.
First, here’s the final The Super Mario Galaxy Movie trailer that highlights story elements and characters. It appears to begin with the Star Festival, with Bowser Jr demanding Mario and Luigi free Bowser after Peach’s castle is taken. Both the brothers and Peach spring into action, and we see the princess meet with Wart (played by Luis Guzman). A Birdo appearance is confirmed, Lumas appear, and the Penguin power-up showed up.
As for the Super Mario Bros Wonder Switch 2 trailer, it is an overview kind of video that shows what’s new in both the main game and Bellabel Park multiplayer section. This also means more footage of Rosalina, who’s added for this version, and the Koopalings showdowns. We also get to see the new Flower Transformation power-up and how its ability works.
Super Mario Bros Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park will be on the Switch 2 on March 26, 2026 both via a full release and Switch upgrade pack, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie debuts on April 1, 2026.
