Online Co-Op Is Coming To This Smash-Hit, But It'll Be Tough For Systems To Handle

I’m not much of a roguelike fan, but Vampire Survivors is just one of those games that we simply have to make an exception to because it’s a masterpiece – and also addictive as hell (or as blood for vampires to be more fitting).

I’ve sunk over 100 hours into it, and I’m thrilled that the only system I felt was missing from the game has been announced: an online co-op option.

Vampire Survivor’s Next Update Finally Brings Online Chaos

Developer Poncle revealed that Version 1.14 is coming this Autumn on PC and consoles, featuring five significant additions. The first of these is an online co-op system that supports up to four players.

“Play online with up to 3 other friends from around the world, just as Poe Ratcho intended. […] More players don’t make it easier, or does it?” says the humorous trailer, as is expected from the studio. You can check it below:

I’m curious, though, about how the game is going to handle so many players, enemies, and projectiles on a single screen while playing online – I mean, managing all of that to avoid bugs and crashes sounds pretty insane, but I trust Poncle in handling it.

The next key addition is set to be revealed next week, and the developer promised that it will answer “a burning question that has been asked thousands of times” by players. So, I’m definitely more than curious about this one!

Vampire Survivors is available for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile devices (iOS and Android).
