The future of several studios within Xbox is more uncertain than ever. For now, Ninja Theory, Compulsion Games, and Arkane Studios are negotiating with the American console maker in an effort to survive.
Among the developers affected is Double Fine Productions, known for its work on Psychonauts, Keeper, and Kiln. The company founded by Tim Schafer is the only one to have spoken out publicly in recent hours.
On X, Double Fine posted a single emoji that seems to confirm the tense situation the studio currently finds itself in. However, the studio could save itself thanks to a buyout clause that would allow it to leave Microsoft.
