Less than 10 days ago, Microsoft confirmed the return of exclusives during the Xbox Games Showcase. Indeed, both Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution will be released exclusively on XBOX Series and PC.
In recent hours, plenty reports have surfaced regarding studio closures and a large number of upcoming layoffs. As a result, some online users have begun speculating that the American company might be backtracking on the console exclusives announced this month.
In a post on X, Matthew Ball, head of strategy at Xbox, stated that there will be no backtracking on this front. He even added that “signature exclusives” will be come out every year on XBOX.
“These rumors are false. Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution will stay exclusive. There are no conversations and have been no conversations to ‘reverse course.’ And as we said last week, players can continue to expect signature exclusives from us every year.”
