The XBOX Support account on X has reached out to the affected player to inform him that the necessary steps had been taken to restore access to his account. It just goes to show that sometimes you just have to make some noise to be heard.
“We’re sorry this happened, it’s not the experience we want anyone to have when their account is compromised. We have been working to restore access to your purchases and reached out with the next steps. Please check your voicemail or inbox.”

Earlier this week, we learned that XBOX had lost a lawsuit against a player whose account had been suspended after a hack. The American company must now restore access for this Brazilian user and pay $400 in damages.
Now, another player named Joshua Khane on X has brought a similar story to light. He claims, with an email to back it up, that Microsoft suspended his account after its security was compromised. Although identified as the rightful owner, Khane was unable to regain access.
As a result, he lost his XBOX and OneDrive accounts containing 25 years’ worth of games and family photos. The user says he spent several thousand euros and lashed out at Microsoft.
“All because MICROSOFT couldn’t bring back a compromised account?? One of the biggest companies ever couldn’t do that so they just deleted that shit like it was nothing?? Fucking shame on you!!”
