An unannounced Life Is Strange game, subtitled Reunion, has been leaked for the PS5 by European ratings board PEGI.
The upcoming game will likely be richly received by franchise fans, as it will see series protagonist Max Caulfield reunited with Chloe Price, her BFF – and eventual love interest – from the original game.
Here’s how the blurb describes the plot:
“Chloe Price was Max Caulfield’s partner in time: losing her is Max’s greatest regret. Now Chloe has come to Caledon University. Haunted by nightmares and impossible memories, Chloe needs Max’s help. But Max is already in crisis: in three days, a deadly inferno will destroy the campus.”
The PEGI page goes on to describe a ton of content from the game, including a drink spiking incident and a character who gets shot in the torso. There are references to drugs, violence, and some strong language.
Deck Nine has apparently been working on a follow-up to Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, which attracted mixed reactions when it released in 2024.
It sounds like this story will once again be set in Caledon University, which could explain the quick turnaround for this entry, if it’s able to reuse some of the environments and assets it already made for the previous game.
But how do you feel about the return of Chloe Price? It does seem like the natural next step for the series given the response to Double Exposure, but we suppose it depends on how it’s all handled.
