Long rumored to be a new franchise, then a new (but very different) installment in an existing series, Santa Monica Studio’s next game has been the subject of much speculation so far. However, it seems that PlayStation has decided to stick with what it knows best.
Responding to a message from a user on X, insider Shpeshal Nick confirmed that Santa Monica’s future game is set in the world of God of War. Persistent rumors point to a possible story centered on Egyptian mythology.
What is certain for now is that Santa Monica is also working on God of War Trilogy Remake, which will offer us a modernized version of Kratos’ epic journey in Greece.
