Borderlands 4 is full of bosses, with there being over 30 of them in the game. A large chunk of these bosses, such as Callis: The Ripper Queen, will be found during the main campaign, and these bosses typically have great loot.
One of the bosses you will fight during the Carcadia Burn portion of the story is Driller Hole. After completing the mission he appears in, you will want to make it a point to go back and fight him some more.
Let’s break down how to return to Driller Hole in Borderlands 4 and what loot he drops.
Where to Find Driller Hole in Borderlands 4
Driller Hole is found inside the Queen’s Cradle facility in the southern part of the Tonnage Peel section of Carcadia Burn. At first, you will not have access to this facility, but after you complete the Unpaid Tab mission with Zane, you will get access to this area.
During the Unpaid Tab mission, you will traverse this facility, making your way down to the Ripping Room, where Callis rips out the Bolts of the citizens of Kairos. Here, you will fight Driller Hole.
Later on, you can return to this facility to fight Driller Hole using the Moxxi’s Encore machine. You can easily reach this facility by traveling south from the Site Unseen Order Silo. It is also south of where you can find one of the Vault Key Fragments.
All Driller Hole Loot/Rewards
As with many of the bosses in Borderlands 4, Driller Hole has three dedicated legendary items that are more likely to drop from him than from any other sources in the game. It is important to note that he will not drop any of the legendary class mods.

The best item you can get from Driller Hole is Katagawa’s Revenge. This Maliwan sniper rifle always comes in shock and incendiary elements, and has the ability Stormcloud. This makes it so the shots will rain fireballs or create electric storm clouds wherever they hit.
The G.M.R is another good weapon that increases its power when you are aiming, but decreases its fire rate and increases its shot cost for that damage increase. Finally, the Fuse is a decent grenade that deals damage over time.
Tips for Fighting Driller Hole
Driller Hole isn’t the most difficult boss, mainly thanks to the amount of cover you have in the arena. Going into the fight, you will want to bring corrosive and incendiary weapons. These will help you combat Driller Hole’s armor and health.
Driller Hole will spawn on the opposite side of the ripping machine in the center of the arena. During the fight, the boss will mostly fire shots from his arm cannon that can easily be avoided by keeping on the move while you shoot back at him.
Pay attention to when the boss launches mortars from his back, as these can heavily damage you and have a decent AOE. This is the deadliest attack of his. I recommend using the cover of the ripping machine to avoid the shots before running back out to shoot back at him.
As long as you have the correct elemental weapons, this boss should go down fairly quickly.
