Dragon Quest 11s Isn’t Clicking With Me. Will That Change?

Hi I just hit Octagonia in Dragon Quest 11 and I have to admit the game just isn’t clicking with me. The monster design is amazing, I have no aversion to turn based combat but still, I’m not having that “I can’t wait to play again!” feeling at the end of a session.

Will this change? I’m not looking for spoilers but Its obvious that the games plot hasn’t started in earnest yet, once it does and I have recruited all party members do you think I be having a better time? Or should I just move on?
