Gamescom has come and gone, and with it, the news that Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally coming on September 4th.
That’s next week, though; we’re here to talk about the games coming out this week for Xbox, and there are some doozies.
In total, there are over 30 new games releasing for Xbox platforms between August 25th and the 31st. Let’s not waste any time and get right to it. Don’t forget to also check out what’s coming to the PlayStation family this week as well!

Gears of War: Reloaded – August 26th
The original Gears of War is getting a remaster for modern consoles. After playing through the multiplayer beta earlier this year, I can safely say that Gears of War is back and has never felt better.
It will be a treat replaying through the original game while also seeing a new audience of gamers fall in love with one of the Xbox 360’s best games.
Is it still a little weird seeing the game come to PS5 as well? Yes, but hey, it means more Gears of War for more people, so I’m not complaining.
Helldivers 2 – August 26th
After a successful launch on PS5 and PC, the co-op shooter is finally making its Xbox debut on August 26th.
Helldivers 2 will not be available on Game Pass at launch, but given the game’s warm reception over the years, Xbox fans have a good idea of what to expect when the game launches later this week.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – August 28th
Gears of War isn’t the only remaster this week. The beloved PS2 classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is getting a facelift as well.
Early reviews are saying the game is, for better or worse, a faithful remaster of the original. Konami has also hinted that we may be seeing some new Metal Gear Solid in the future as well.
Shinobi: Heart of Vengeance – August 29th
The Shinboi franchise is back with an all-new 2D sidescrolling action platformer in the vein of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound.
Lizardcube, best known for their work on Streets of Rage 4, is bringing the fabled franchise back with the trademark fast-paced action the games are known for, complete with a beautiful hand-drawn art style.
