Dying Light: The Beast Hotfix 1.2.1 Coming Soon To Fix Indoor Rains

Dying Light: The Beast is a spin-off that has you playing as Kyle Crane, who is out for revenge against the ones who have been experimenting on him for years. Even though the plot is on the simpler side, it seems like the fans have finally gotten what they have been wanting for years from a Dying Light game.

At the time of writing, the game has Very Positive reviews, so it is already proving to have a better launch than Dying Light 2. However, regardless of how well the game is made, there are always bugs that occasionally go unchecked after the game’s release.

Despite this game not having nearly half the performance issues that are commonly seen in Unreal Engine 5 games, it does face an awkward bug where players will have rain indoors. Luckily, the developers have a fix ready!

Dying Light: The Beast Hotfix 1.2.1 To Fix Indoor Rain And Day/Night Cycle

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Dying Light tweeted about their upcoming Hotfix 1.2.1. The developers are aware of players “experiencing issues with Indoor Rain and the Disturbed Day/Night Cycle, and fixing them is our top priority.”

They continued to explain how the fix is ready; however, “because this bug only appears in rare situations, it takes a lot of extra testing.”

We’ll continue these tests over the weekend and most of Monday, and if no new occurrences of this issue appear, we’ll release the hotfix to players right away on PC. This is our goal. If, however, we still spot any occurrences of the bug, we might need to go back, adjust the fix, and then re-test it again.

Finally, they concluded the post by thanking the players for their patience, while acknowledging that “these issues are frustrating to those who experience them, and we’re doing everything we can to deliver a stable solution as soon as possible.”

Hopefully, the fix is what they found, and there are no new occurrences, so that the developers don’t have to rework the fix and, instead, can deliver it quickly. Dying Light: The Beast is now out on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
