Forget Pre-Loading, Battlefield 6 Discs 'Leak' With The Full Game And Live Servers

Battlefield 6 isn’t supposed to launch until October 10th, but some lucky gamers have already been able to get their hands on the game.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a game leak to stores early recently. Both Silent Hill f and Lost Soul Aside made their way into the hands of fans before the official launch. To be fair, when it comes to spoilers, that’s not really the case when it comes to Battlefield 6. Still, the fact that Battlefield 6 discs are apparently in the wild has people asking questions: Is the game fully available on the disc? Is online multiplayer available currently?

First, yes, the game is reportedly all on the disc, though it is missing the planned day one patch, which will include bug fixes and balance updates. Other than that, the game is reportedly live and fully functional.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the game’s single-player campaign is fully operational, but the fact that multiplayer servers are live, which, again, do not have the day one patch, is a bit of a surprise.

The poster, who said on the Battlefield 6 subreddit, “it is finally in my hands,” said they can play online, but there aren’t many people currently online.

Anticipation For Battlefield 6 Is At An All-Time High

The release of Battlefield 6 comes during the beta period for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

I mention that because there was a recent report that Battlefield 6’s beta was so successful that it drew a lot of Call of Duty players away. On the one hand, that’s to be expected; people want to play with the shiny new toy. However, the report states that it took Call of Duty players a month to return to the game following their hands-on time with Battlefield 6.

Things got even more interesting in July 2025, when a report by Ampere revealed that a significant chunk of Call of Duty fans who tried the Battlefield 6 beta didn’t go back to the Activision franchise afterward – with 48% on Steam, 24% on PlayStation, and 29% on Xbox apparently deciding to stick with Battlefield instead. As a result, the analysis expects a bit of “disruption for Call of Duty” this year, especially on PC.

Battlefield 6 is set to release on PC, PS5, and Xbox on October 10th, with Season 1 set to kick off on October 28th.
