The fated arrival of Omega Planetes from the Interdimensional Rift in the highly-anticipated Final Fantasy XIV collaboration event also brings with it many rewards for players of both beloved franchises to enjoy. Among those rewards is a unique and undeniably cute Chocobo outfit for your Seikret.
If you want to equip your Seikret with this adorably feathery look, you’ll need to take on this event’s formidable challenge first. Here’s how to unlock and equip the My Little Chocobo Outfit in Monster Hunter Wilds and all the perks that come with it.
How to Unlock Chocobo Seikret Decoration in Monster Hunter Wilds
The My Little Chocobo Outfit is a Seikret Decoration customization that was added as part of the 2025 Final Fantasy XIV collaboration event, among many other Final Fantasy-themed rewards. As shown in trailer previews leading up to the event’s release, it fully transforms your Seikret into the likeness of a Chocobo, a popular creature from the Final Fantasy franchise that serves a similar purpose to humans that Seikrets do (e.g. — transportation and combat).
To unlock this unique Decoration for your Seikret, you first need to download the game’s Title 3 Update, which includes the collaboration event’s challenges and rewards. From there, you need to then complete Extra Mission 5, which includes ‘A Peak Predicament’ and ‘Invader From the Stars’. It sees you square off against a new threat in the Forbidden Lands known as Omega Planetes, and it’s no pushover.
Upon slaying the normal variant of Omega Planetes, several rewards will automatically unlock for your character, including the My Little Chocobo Outfit for your Seikret.
How to Equip Chocobo Seikret Decoration in Monster Hunter Wilds
After you defeat Omega Planetes and complete all objectives of Extra Mission 5, you can then return to any Base Camp or the Grand Hub to view your newly unlocked rewards. To equip the My Little Chocobo Outfit on your Seikret, return to your tent and select Seikret Customization in the Appearance Menu tab (the last one on the right).
Once there, scroll down to Decoration Type and select it. Among your current options, you should see the My Little Chocobo outfit available. Select it to apply it to your Seikret, and you’ll see what it looks like in the customization menu (seen above).
You can also alter the outfit’s colors, if you want your special Chocobo to be something other than its trademark golden yellow. To do that, you can choose the Inner Feather Color or Outer Feather Color options at the top of the menu. While Skin Color is disabled for this particular Seikret decoration, you can also alter its Eye Color and choose a Pendant to hang from it. If you ever want to return it to the original color scheme, simply toggle the ‘Use Default Color’ option in the menu.
What’s more, while you have the My Little Chocobo outfit equipped, the traditional Chocobo theme from FFXIV will play while you’re running around on your Seikret. However, you can always disable it if you prefer not to hear it.
As part of Capcom’s initiative to make these updates more flexible for players, the contents of the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration event are a permanent addition to the game, similar to the Street Fighter collaboration. So no need to worry about unlocking this new look for your Seikret in a time crunch!
