Silent Hill f has five endings, each giving their own unique twist on the story. In order to get a few of the available endings, players will need to find a Sacred Sword, a weapon that takes a good amount of time to acquire.

To get the Sacred Sword, players need to complete a puzzle that spans the whole game that involves finding five specific items and handing them over to a series of statues. This is the hard part, since the items are well-hidden and easy to miss.

This guide has everything you need to know about getting the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f including the location of each item and Jizo Statues. This guide will also explain how to purify the Sacred Sword, which is required for one of the endings.

How to Get the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f

To get the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f, players must complete the game at least once and enter New Game Plus. Once you enter your second playthrough, the Sacred Sword can be obtained by finding five key items throughout the story and bringing each item to five different Jizo Statues.

Players need to obtain the following items for the Jizo Statues:

  • Faded Bride Doll
  • Rusted Flask
  • Broken Japanese Geta Sandals
  • Cracked Hibachi Brazier
  • Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife

After finding each of these, you must then offer them to a Jizo Statue that can be found near the location where you found the specific item.

It’s important to note that if you miss one of these items during your playthrough, you run the risk of not being able to obtain it due to the game’s linear structure. In this case, I recommend having multiple save files as you play through New Game Plus.

The following sections detail how to find each item and its corresponding Jizo Statue in the order they appear in-game.

Faded Bride Doll Location (Ebisugaoka First Visit)

The Faded Bride Doll can be found at the very beginning of your New Game Plus run in Silent Hill f. When your objective is to head down the mountain, head to the house on the east side of the map, located near the very first Hokora Shrine.

Explore the upstairs section of this house to find the Treasure Hunting Game Key and then return downstairs and enter the kitchen’s pantry to find a treasure chest in the back right corner. Use the key on the treasure chest to acquire the Faded Bride Doll.

Jizo Statue Location #1

With the Faded Bride Doll in your possession, continue down the mountain and take the first left to find a Jizo Statue near a house’s red mailbox. Simply walk up to it and select the interact button to offer over the Faded Bride Doll.

Rusted Flask Location (Ebisugaoka Second Visit)

After returning from the Dark Shrine and entering Ebisugaoka for the second time, the Rusted Flask can be acquired when your objective is to head to Shu’s house.

When you reach the cornfield, instead of going through it, head north until you reach Sakuko’s family shrine. Resting on one of the small stone structures, you will find the Rusted Flask.

Jizo Statue Location #2

The Jizo Statue for the Rusted Flask can be found down the hill from the shrine. When you reach the bottom of the hill, take a left and then another left to find the Jizo Statue behind the small building.

Approach the Jizo Statue and select the option to interact with it to hand over the Rusted Flask, removing it from your inventory.

Broken Japanese Geta Sandals Location (Ebisugaoka Third Visit)

The Broken Japanese Geta Sandals item can be found when approaching the middle school during your third visit to Ebisugaoka.

After a brief cutscene with Hinako’s friends near the middle school, don’t go into the school, but instead head to the location shown in the image above. On the ground, near a couple of crates, you will find the Broken Japanese Geta Sandals.

Jizo Statue Location #3

After acquiring the Broken Japanese Geta Sandals, the Jizo Statue can be found near the Hokora Shrine you encountered before approaching the Middle School.

From the Hokora Shrine’s location, head up the long staircase and go behind the house on the left-hand side. Here you will find the Jizo Statue, where you can offer the Broken Japanese Geta Sandals.

Cracked Hibachi Brazier Location (Ebisugaoka Fourth Visit)

The Cracked Hibachi Brazier can be obtained when your objective is to find Shu and Rinko after completing the middle school and Worship Hall sections of the game.

Once you reach Shu’s house, head around the house to the backyard, where you will find a shed. On the left side of the shed, you will find the Cracked Hibachi Brazier on the ground.

Jizo Statue Location #4

Before entering Shu’s house, head back down the path toward the Hokora Shrine and look to your left to find the fourth Jizo Statue. Interact with the Jizo Statue to offer up the Cracked Hibachi Brazier.

It’s very important to go to the Jizo Statue first before entering Shu’s house, considering doing so leads to Hinako getting transported to the Dark Shrine realm.

The next time you enter the Dark Shrine, you will be in the Main Hall area. Players looking to purify the Sacred Sword later on must complete the Crimson Water puzzle in this section.

The warning box above is very important, and I want to reiterate. If you plan on purifying the Sacred Sword then you must complete the Crimson Water puzzle. Use our Agura No Hotei-Sama guide to learn how to find the Crimson Water puzzle, since they are right next to each other.

Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife Location (Ebisugaoka Fifth Visit)

As you make your way to the Shimizu residence during your fifth visit to Ebisgaoka, you’ll find a house near a couple of enemies. Make your way around the house to find Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife sticking out of a tree.

Jizo Statue Location #5

With Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife in your inventory, retrace your steps from and head to the previous house that you encountered on this path.

Head up the stairs near this house to find the final Jizo Statue next to green leaves. Interact with the Jizo Statue to hand over the final offering, Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife.

Sacred Sword Location (Ebisugaoka Fifth Visit)

Now that you have offered up all five items to the Jiza Statues, you can officially go and get the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill F. The sword can obtained during Ebisugaoka Fifth Visit.

To find the Sacred Sword, make your way back up the mountain and past Shu’s house to find the Thousand Year Cedar. The image attached shows the Thousand Year Cedar’s exact location, but it’s pretty hard to miss due to its enormous size.

Reaching this area will reward you with the Sacred Sword, a weapon that is very powerful and can not break. Once it runs out of durability, simply unequip it (by equipping a different weapon) and its durability meter will fill back up.

Besides it being a very useful weapon, it’s also mandatory to have it in order to receive the Fox Wet’s Its Tail and Ebisugaoka in Silence ending.

Simply just having it in your possession will earn you the Fox Wet’s Its Tail ending, but you will need to purify it if you want to receive the True ending, Ebisugaoka in Silence. The next section details how to purify the Sacred Sword.

How to Purify the Sacred Sword

Players can purify the Sacred Sword at the shrine northeast of Shu’s house. You can find the shrine’s exact location in the image above.

If you completed the Main Hall Crimson Water puzzle, the tub at the shrine will be filled with blood. Unfortunately, if you did not solve the Crimson Water puzzle, the tub will be empty, and there is no way to purify the sacred sword.

If you did finish the appropriate puzzle, approach the tub and interact with it to have Hinako place the Sacred Sword into the blood. Doing so will officially purify the Sacred Sword, allowing you to receive the true ending of Silent Hill f.
