Limited Run Games has announced that Capcom Arcade Stadium Vol.1 is heading to physical retail, bringing together 30 legendary arcade classics in one comprehensive package. The collection spans nearly two decades of Capcom’s arcade heritage, from 1984’s early hits right through to 2001, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.
The physical release comes with five different collectible cover options, allowing fans to choose artwork featuring either a multi-game design or covers dedicated to iconic titles like Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, Captain Commando, Final Fight, or Strider. Each copy also includes an eight-page booklet packed with details about Capcom’s most celebrated arcade releases over the years.
The game collection is organised into three distinct eras. “Dawn of the Arcade” covers 1984-1988 with titles like 1942, Bionic Commando, and Ghosts ‘n Goblins. “Arcade Revolution” spans 1989-1992, featuring heavy hitters such as Street Fighter II, Final Fight, and Captain Commando. Finally, “Arcade Evolution” rounds out the package with 1992-2001 gems including Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Giga Wing, and 19XX: The War Against Destiny.
Beyond just straight arcade ports, the collection promises modern conveniences for today’s players. Features include customisable display settings with scanline options to recreate that classic CRT monitor look, plus the ability to rewind gameplay, adjust game speed, and save progress at any point during these notoriously challenging arcade experiences.
