After a last-minute delay, Code Violet, which was supposed to arrive in November 2025, will finally be released on January 10, 2026. This is a third-person action-horror game exclusive to the PS5.
Although it received little media coverage, this title developed by TeamKill Media still gained attention following a minor controversy. The studio did not want to release Code Violet on PC in order to avoid mods that could have overly sexualized the characters.
At the time of writing, the game’s Metacritic page does not yet show an average rating, as only three reviews have been recorded. And they are damning! Push Square, IGN, and IGN Spain have given this production a score of 4/10. The combat is said to be mediocre, there are numerous technical issues, and the overall tone of the storyline is a complete failure. The adventure is said to be over in just six hours.
Finally, while TeamKill Media was apparently afraid of overly sexy mods appearing on a possible PC version, Code Violet takes the liberty of playing the fanservice card to excess. According to the reviews, this is enough to cause some discomfort or even completely bizarre sequences.
As for the average Metacritic user rating, it displays a rather surprising (albeit suspicious) 10/10.
