007 First Light’s Behind the Scenes Developer Diary Series Releases Second Episode With a Focus on Its Cast and Characters

We are now just less than three months from 007 First Light’s launch, and to anticipate that release, developer IO Interactive has released the latest episode in the game’s behind-the-scenes developer diary, Beyond the Light, according to a press release. The second episode in the series gives players a more inside look ay the game’s development with the focus this time on the cast, characters, and the work to bring them to life in James Bond’s origin.

On the developer side, the episode features the likes of IO Interactive’s narrative and cinematics director, Martin Emborg and lead and senior character artist, Beatrice Harty as they dive a bit into  a range of topics that include 007 First Light‘s story, cinematics, and character creation to narrative intent, performance capture, and character artistry, Speaking of characters, we also get o hear from the actors themselves including who will be playing James Bond himself in the game, Patrick Gibson alongside Noemie Nakai (plays Agent Roth), Kiera Lester (plays Moneypenny), and Alastair McKenzie (plays Q) who share their experience of bringing these characters to life in the early days of James Bond as Agent 007.

007 First Light is set to launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on May 27th, 2026. PC hardware specifications have been released and were later adjusted the initial 32 GB RAM recommendation to 16 GB RAM during the ongoing RAM crisis.
