In Crimson Desert, the continent of Pywel is overflowing with foes who want you dead. From swarms of bandits, to powerful beasts, or your sworn enemies, The Blackbears, these threats will push you to your limits and require you to learn new skills, and craft powerful weapons in order to claim victory.
Gaining the knowledge to craft these weapons will take some serious time and effort, as you’ll need to track down weapon crafting books for each specific weapon type in order to make them.
Crimson Desert Preview: It’s Not A Mirage, It’s Medieval Musou Mayhem
I guess it’s named Crimson Desert on account of the endless blood you’ll spill.
From spears, daggers, swords, axes, or hammers, to long-ranged weapons like bows, and guns, finding the books that allow you to craft these weapons should be high on your priority list.
In this guide, I’ll show you where to find all the weapon crafting books in Crimson Desert.
This guide is a work-in-progress, and I will be adding more weapon crafting book locations as I discover them.
How to Craft Weapons
Meet Smithy, a blacksmith located in the heart of Hernand, seen in the picture above. Here you’ll be able to refine and craft weapons, but first you’ll need to complete a quest to help him repair his hammer and get back in business.There are a total of 67 equipment crafting books you’ll need to find throughout your travels, with 19 of those dedicated to the following weapon types:
- One-handed weapons
- Two-handed weapons
- Bows
- Guns
One-Handed Weapons of the World Vol. 1 Location
Just outside of Smithy’s blacksmith shop, you’ll encounter the friendly giant, Rhett, who operates the Hernand Equipment Shop.
Visit Rhett and buy the book, One-handed Weapons of the World Vol.1, seen below.
There are five books in the one-handed weapons category. Volume one will grant you the ability to craft the following weapons:
- Timberham Axe
- Pailunese Riteblade
- Bekker Dagger
- Balton Mace
- Crude Club
- Balton Hammer
- Bekker Hammer
- Glenmore Sword
- Grace Rapier
Once you buy or locate a weapon crafting book, don’t forget to examine it. Reading the book will unlock new crafting options at your blacksmith.
All the one-handed weapons unlocked by this book will only require five iron ores, and two copper ores to craft.
