Raphaël Colantonio, the legendary game designer behind Dishonored and Prey, has lent his voice and musical talents to upcoming Lovecraftian survival horror game Stygian: Outer Gods. The Arkane Studios co-founder voices the enigmatic Seer NPC, a tarot-reading mystic who guides players through talent-unlocking rituals, whilst his band Weird Wolves has created an original track called “I Still Care” for the game’s closing credits.
Developer Misterial Games has released a new music video featuring the Weird Wolves track, which blends the game’s atmospheric Lovecraftian imagery with the band’s signature dark sound. Players can already experience a haunting piano version of the song performed by the game’s protagonist Jack in the current Early Access build. Serge Alarsky, founder of Misterial Games, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, calling Colantonio’s input “absolutely invaluable” for their Lovecraftian world.
Set in the universe of Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones, the game follows Jack Harrison as he searches for his missing father in the foggy, decrepit settlement of Kingsport. After being shipwrecked, players must navigate ancient nightmares whilst trying to maintain their sanity and prevent the coming of the Outer Gods. Colantonio praised the game’s immersive art style and highlighted particularly tense moments involving zombies and strategic combat elements.
Stygian: Outer Gods is currently available in Early Access on PC via Steam and GOG, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions planned for the full launch. The game will feature in the upcoming Steam Lovecraftian Days festival, promising fresh updates for horror fans.
