How to Get the Canto Blueprint in ARC Raiders

The Flashpoint update in ARC Raiders is here, and it has blessed excited extraction enthusiasts with two brand-new weapons!

Say hello to the Canto SMG! This is a rare SMG available from the First Wave Caches, which can be found on the Hurricane map condition. While Hurricane came out in the last big patch in February, it can still be found in the current map rotation, albeit rather less frequently, making this new Blueprint pretty tough to obtain.

ARC Raiders: Test Case Quest Guide

Burn Baby, Burn!

Let’s have a look at how to get our hands on this blueprint, as well as some stats about this slick new piece of kit.

Hurricane Caches

Cache Contents

If you’ve ever played with the Hurricane active, you’ll probably have an inkling of what’s in store. However, for those coming back after a while, the Hurricane does what it says on the tin. Once you enter the map, you’ll notice that there’s a horrific storm brewing overhead, and you’re going to be pulled about every which way by the wicked winds.

Not only that, but your shield will slowly deplete in the storm, while revealing your position, and of course, ARC is more deadly than ever. While the loot value is increased during this condition, that isn’t what we’re here for.

During the hurricane, First Wave Caches will be scattered around the outskirts of the map. In these well-hidden caches, you can find all sorts of things, from valuable crafting materials to rare healing supplies, to, of course, blueprints! While you can find epic blueprints here, the Canto blueprint, in fact, seems to be a little bit rarer.

How to Find Them

Now, actually finding the caches is one of the most difficult things. Not only are you battling against the roaring gales, but other players who are trying to do the exact same thing as you. Honestly, if you haven’t found anything within the first 5-10 minutes, assume they’ll all have been looted.

Make sure you go into the map with a custom inventory, as you’re more likely to join at the beginning of a round instead of halfway through.

As soon as you load into the Hurricane map, you’ll want to take a look at your position on the in-game map and then compare it with the selection of maps here. This site shows you all possible spawn locations of First Wave Caches. They won’t spawn in every spot, mind you, but it’s worth checking them all.

ARC Raiders: Best Guns Tier List (2026)

Don’t judge a gun by its rarity. Here’s an in-depth weapon tier list for ARC Raiders, including tips & tricks.

Start with the cache locations closest to you and listen for a mechanical beeping sound to indicate its location. This is a lot easier with headphones, especially with the sound of the wind in your ears. If you don’t hear anything nearby, quickly move on to maximise your time. You might want to bring Adrenaline Shots to keep you constantly on the go.

Once you find a cache, simply cross your fingers and hope for the best. You should be able to find at least 1-2 caches per round if you’re quick. Just watch out for vicious raiders who are looking for an easy kill.

If you’re looking to get this blueprint ASAP, use a custom loadout with no items equipped. This gives you a safe pocket while also allowing you to quit out rather than extract.

The Canto

Once you’ve learned the blueprint, you can craft the Canto with the following items:

  • 2× Advanced Mechanical Components
  • 5× Magnet
  • 3× Medium Gun Parts

This must be done on a fully upgraded Gunsmith Bench in your workshop. Upgrading this weapon to IV is particularly useful as it will become more accurate and gain a higher capacity, so you can shoot for longer without having to reload. Pair this with a Medium-Magazine attachment to maximise spraying time.
