Wednesday, May 20

7 Minutes In Heaven @ UCB Theatre (5919 Franklin Ave.)

7 Minutes In Heaven will bring seven improv duos together to perform seven scenes. Hosted by Canadian Comedy Award winners Inessa Frantowski, Adam Cawley, and Jason DeRosse, the show has seen performers such as Emmy-nominated comedian Nicole Byer and former SNL featured cast member Lauren Holt. Wednesday’s show will feature Lauren Holt, Lyndsey Frank, Alison Rich, Mano Agapion, Oscar Montoya, Monika Smith, Ruha Taslimi, Nnamdi Ngwe, Alex Bonifer, Monique Moses, and Sam DeSurr. Livestream tickets are also available.

Friday, May 22

Lucky Break @ Permanent Records Roadhouse (1906 Cypress Ave.)

San Francisco indie pop artist Lucky Break will have a special headlining performance at Permanent Records Roadhouse this Friday. The artist recently unveiled their debut album made it! on Fire Records. Lev UFO and Makk Mikkael will be the opening acts for this show. This summer, Lucky Break will tour alongside Maisy Owen.

I Got A Job @ The Pack Theater (1615 North Vermont Ave.)
Doors: 9:50 p.m. (tickets)

Hosted by Florentino Carrillo, I Got A Job brings together a team of individuals to deliver an improvised first day on the job based on an audience member’s suggestion. Friday’s show will feature LA Mayoral Candidate Rev. Rae Huang as the special storyteller.

Saturday, May 23

Ghouls’ Day Out (My Chemical Romance fan event) @ Immanuel Presbyterian Church (3300 Wilshire Blvd.)

SpooksieBoo Events’ Ghouls’ Day Out returns to Immanuel Presbyterian Church to celebrate the legacy of My Chemical Romance. Fans will be able to take photos where the “Helena” music video was shot as well as check out some neat vendors and listen to live music from acts such as Green Day tribute band Green Today and My Chemical Romance tribute band Sweet Revenge. Scarcity and Too Bad So Sad will also perform.

HiLow world premiere @ Dynasty Typewriter (2511 Wilshire Blvd.)
Doors: 6 p.m. (tickets)

Fans of HiLow will be able to check out episodes from the forthcoming new season before they drop online at Dynasty Typewrite on Saturday. Following the screening, an after-party will go down where attendees can see the HiLow cars and meet the hosts. For $1,000, one person can get special VIP seating, an event shirt, and a photo op with a shirtless Jimmy Hilton.
