While Kingdom Hearts 4 made an appearance during this week’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix was careful not to reveal the game’s release date. However, two Australian retailers have taken the initiative.
Retailers JB Hi-Fi and EB Games briefly mentioned in the description for the KINGDOM HEARTS [I~III] Collection that the fourth installment would be released as early as 2027.
“Play through the full KINGDOM HEARTS series in one comprehensive package before the release of KINGDOM HEARTS IV in 2027. Enjoy the complete saga at a newly accessible price point, making it the ideal entry for newcomers and a definitive edition for returning fans.”
Since this discovery, both sites have edited this paragraph, removing the mention of Kingdom Hearts 4 launching next year. It remains to be seen whether this was a mistake or an actual premature reveal.
