Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics is back with new data on sales figures for various PlayStation titles. It’s important to note that these are estimates of units sold exclusively on the PS5. Keep in mind that the following figures have not been confirmed by Sony.
Thus, Ghost of Yotei has been a real success, with 4.8 million units sold worldwide. This is an impressive performance, given that the Sucker Punch title is available exclusively on the Japanese manufacturer’s console.
The results are somewhat more mixed for Death Stranding 2, which is reported to have reached 1.7 million sales on PS5. On a more anecdotal note, MLB: The Show 26 has sold 745,000 copies. However, some rather resounding failures are also worth noting.
SAROS, the roguelike action game from Housemarque, is reported to have sold only 406,000 units since its release last April. As for Marathon, the PS5 version has struggled to reach 347,000 sales. Finally, God of War Sons of Sparta was a complete flop, selling just 132,000 copies.
