2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces takes the strategic deckbuilder and adds to the concept with online multiplayer and an ability to shift how a card works based on weapons. The caveat is, right now it’s still in its earliest phase. Ground Shatter released the
But the other things I noticed so far are things that might get fixed as time goes on. A big one being the UI. Unlike Fights in Tight Spaces and Knights in Tight Spaces, the cards in the deck don’t have images that offer examples of what to expect from the moves. There are more basic images like fists, reticles, and arrows. I suspect this is something that could be changed, given experience with past games. That kind of additional image is helpful for accessibility and general combo creation, since everything looking the same makes it difficult to pick the right move at a glance. Some general UI tweaking so it looks better and easier to read on a Lenovo Legion Go (which is where I played) or Steam Deck would be handy too.
I think there’s potential for 2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces to grow and the existing roadmap seems solid, but it needs more time. There are some quirks and bugs in the current build, which is understandable from early access. The ability to fight with others and change up how cards in your deck work via things like weapons seem to be good additions to the formula. It could turn into a strong successor.
2 Fights 2 Tight Spaces is in early access for PCs via Steam.
