Luna Abyss was released to little fanfare for consoles and PC this May 21. It’s a single-player, third-person action-adventure game with a deep narrative that also features platforming sections and frenetic bullet-hell combat.
Unfortunately, the game wasn’t a big hit and even hastened the studio’s demise. In fact, all employees at Kwalee Labs were laid off this week. The news was shared by the company’s CEO, Hollie Emery, on LinkedIn.
Now, the developers are all looking for new jobs. We don’t yet know what will become of Luna Abyss.
