Nintendo has issued a statement confirming the data breach. The company wants to reassure the public by clarifying that only the results of internal investigations have been compromised.

“We are aware of an issue involving TinyPulse, a third-party service used for internal employee surveys at Nintendo of America. Nintendo’s systems have not been compromised, and no personal customer or financial data has been accessed.

The data involved is limited to internal survey content comprising a small subset of our employees, and most of the information dates back several years.

We appreciate our employees’ willingness to share their perspectives, take all feedback seriously, and take action when needed. We are working with the service provider to address the issue.”

A new report indicates that Nintendo appears to have been the victim of a cyberattack. The security breach reportedly targeted TINYpulse systems, which are “associated with employee engagement and workplace feedback functions.”

According to the report, the hacker known by the pseudonym SHADOWBYT3$ allegedly retrieved approximately 859 MB of data as of June 13, 2026. This private information reportedly pertains solely to Nintendo employees. It is said to include names, email addresses, employee surveys, bank statements, forms, reports, and comments regarding the workplace.

The breach combines “sensitive personal and financial details, such as bank statements and W-9 tax forms, with internal workplace analytics”.

It should be noted that the hack has yet to be verified.
