This week, Treyarch confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are coming to PS4 and PS5 in July. Players will then get to rediscover these excellent first-person shooters on Sony’s modern consoles.
However, the American studio has yet specifically mentioned the changes made to these new versions… A rather logical omission, given that there are no improvements planned.
Treyarch sent a message to Eurogamer clarifying that Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are simply ports and not remasters. We can probably expect improved resolution and frame rate, but that will ultimately be all.
