While the epic journey of Destiny 2 has now come to an end, some developers have decided to share stories about the twists and turns that took place throughout the development process. Some pretty surprising projects nearly saw the light of day.
On X, Liana Ruppert, a former community manager at Bungie, revealed that the teams worked on a dating simulator for Destiny. This project was conceived during an annual event where developers can design any prototype they like. A comprehensive proposal, including costs and precise profitability metrics, had even been drawn up.
Nevertheless, Bungie’s management firmly opposed the release of this dating simulator.
